Research and education

By combining applied research with technical competence and industry experience, we assist partner and customer companies in developing knowledge, products, processes and production systems. MITC possesses, together with Mälardalen University, competence in production development, Industry 4.0 and digitalisation. As a collaboration platform connected to the university, we have the possibility to support companies through needs-driven competence development and research for industrial development. MITC works to meet both the needs of industry and academia in a process we call co-production.

In our network, we work across traditional subject areas and industry sectors to solve complex challenges and needs. As a complement to MITC’s technical projects, we work with the university on a broad programme of continuing education courses in smart production. MITC in addition is constantly offering continuing education services in the form of seminars, workshops and shorter training courses. These initiatives are strengthened by co-operation with RISE and other national actors within the innovation system. We are also looking at the European level in order to strengthen companies with increased exposure via international co-operation and projects – all with an emphasis on creating the preconditions for sustainable competitive production in Sweden.
