Alfa Laval, in collaboration with MITC, is at the forefront of shaping the future of smart industry. Our focus is on implementing Industry 5.0, utilizing cutting-edge digital and connected technologies to create a smarter and more sustainable industrial environment. Join us at Alfa Laval and be part of our exciting journey in automation and digitalization. In partnership with MITC, we explore and implement new technologies for flexible production, enhanced visualization, and sustainability. As a Project Manager, you’re responsibilities include leading Alfa Laval’s efforts within Project UP-Skill with a focus on Industry 5.0, continuing the implementation of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), implementing ”Paperless Factory,” Visualization, and Digital Twins, conducting benchmarking against other factories within Alfa Laval, establishing Best Practices for Alfa Laval Industry 5.0, implementing solutions at the hardware level (machines, robots, sensors, PLC), driving activities in Artificial Intelligence (Vision and Data), sharing your knowledge with others in our group, and documenting the work undertaken.

About you
Just like us, you’re curious. You want to know more, and you want to do even better. Here, you’ll apply your project management skills, strong solution-oriented drive, profound technical interest, and openness to creative ideas on implementing Industry 5.0. Along with an academic degree in production, computer science, or a related field, you’ll also ideally have previous experience in manufacturing industries. More importantly, however, you’re self-driven with an analytical mindset for effective problem-solving, coupled with creativity to propose improvements and new technologies. Overall, you’re a natural leader who can align the varying agendas, objectives, and priorities of cross-functional teams to deliver our ambitions. Confident working and networking in our international and cross-cultural environment, you’ll bring a solution oriented, organized, and analytical approach to solving problems and prioritizing tasks. project management, a grasp of Industry 4.0 concepts, and programming skills at the sensor/machine level. Proficiency in Python (for AI and Visual Components) and JavaScript (e.g., IoT platforms like ThingWorx, Boards on Fire) and confident communication skills are also essential. An understanding of production processes and familiarity with LEAN SIX SIGMA principles are crucial. Fluency in spoken and written Swedish and English is a prerequisite. We value strong teamwork, so you will have excellent people and communication skills essential to building trust and credibility.
